Terms of Service

1. Service Description
PYLON provides APIs for European Digital Identity (EUDI) verification. During beta, the service is provided "as is" without SLA guarantees.
2. Beta Status
⚠️ Beta Service: Data may reset without notice. Do not store production data. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Attempt unauthorized access or reverse-engineer the API
- Use PYLON for illegal identity verification
- Exceed rate limits (details in docs)
- Store credential data we return (we don't send credential content)
- Resell or redistribute PYLON without permission
4. API Limits (Beta)
- Free tier: 1,000 verifications/month
- Rate limit: 1,000 requests/minute (per API key)
- SLA: None (beta) — best-effort availability
- Uptime target: No guarantee during beta
5. Data & Privacy
See our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for obtaining user consent before using PYLON to verify their credentials.
6. Liability Disclaimer
PYLON is provided "as is" without warranties. During beta, we are not liable for:
- Failed verifications (but we log why)
- Data loss (due to beta resets)
- Third-party wallet/issuer failures
- Your regulatory compliance (you are responsible)
You indemnify PYLON against liability from improper verification usage.
7. Intellectual Property
PYLON code and documentation are provided under open-source license (see GitHub). Your code remains yours.
8. Termination
We may terminate beta access if you:
- Violate this agreement
- Attempt attacks or abuse
- Use PYLON for illegal purposes
You may stop using PYLON at any time.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms. Material changes are announced 30 days in advance.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by German law and the courts of Berlin, Germany.
